Mr. Klugman attained stardom in 1970 as the slovenly sportswriter Oscar Madison in the TV version of Neil Simon's The Odd Couple, which enjoyed a five-year run. It also earned him two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe award. Klugman and his co-star Tony Randall reunited for a TV movie, The Odd Couple in 1993. But perhaps his greatest success was a crime-solving medical examiner on TV's Quincy between 1976-83.
